Stephanie L Sellers MSc PhD
Dr. Stephanie Sellers is a postdoctoral fellow in the research group of Dr. Jonathon Leipsic in the Department of Radiology at St. Paul’s Hospital / UBC and the Centre for Heart Lung Innovation. Having completed her PhD at UBC in Pharmacology & Therapeutics, Sellers aims to integrate clinical and basic science research in cardiovascular imaging as it relates to structural heart disease.
During her fellowship, supported by an MSFHR/Centre for Heart Lung Innovation – Providence Health Care Research Institute – St. Paul’s Foundation Research Trainee award, Sellers aims to investigate structural degeneration of bioprosthetic heart valves. In collaboration with an international team, she hopes to determine the mechanism by which valves fail and evaluate novel clinical imaging methods to predict valve degeneration.
